In a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, WWE legend Booker T shared his thoughts on the WWE NXT Championship match between Moose and Oba Femi. The clash took place at WWE NXT: Roadblock 2025.
Here are some of the key takeaways made by Booker himself:
The Moose vs. Oba Femi Showdown: “As two solid wrestlers, they reminded me of the good old days. You could picture those 250+ pound guys owning the ring, creating drama and action reminiscent ofRomeo & Juliet, Phantom Of The Opera. The match had a unique vibe. Moose’s spectacular move was the cherry on top. Everything about the bout between Moose and Oba Femi was on point. The match could easily be compared to the classic rivalry between Ali and Frazier, warranting at least a trilogy. The idea of repeating it and then again, resulting in at least three pay-per-view events. Seeing them perform so marvelously in the historic Madison Square Garden Theater does give you goosebumps. It makes you long for those experiences, and I do miss those moments. Hopefully, they’ll get a chance to replicate this, perhaps on a bigger stage like WrestleMania. There’s so much potential for these two.”
On Stephanie Vaquer’s NXT Women’s Title Win:“I’ve followed the journey of these two women closely. They’ve come a long way to finally reach and dominate NXT. They didn’t just join NXT, they conquered it. They achieved what they set out to do – to win the championship and make a mark. Now, Stephanie Vaquer is at the pinnacle, but Giulia also shouldn’t be underestimated. Giulia is a star in her own right and her talent could soar on the main roster. I have no doubt she’ll continue to shine in WWE for a long time.”
