On a recent episode of “Hall of Fame”, his in-demand podcast, Booker T delved into his professional wrestling past to relive his tenure in the TNA. He expressed his perspectives on the decline in TNA’s vigor when Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan joined in 2010.

Here are the key points that he laid out on his podcast:

Reflecting on his journey in TNA, Booker T said, “My interaction with a lot of the wrestlers, while I was there, was fairly limited. The stint with The Main Event Mafia didn’t really open up opportunities to work with many other wrestlers. On many occasions, it was just a series of vignettes or fun banter at the backstage. Although I fondly recall the two shows we had in England. Both were rapturously received by a huge crowd, maybe 5,000 or so. The fans were frenzied. It kind of hinted at great potential for TNA, but unfortunately, it never quite took off. The lack of someone steering the company with structure and direction was sadly evident. The company seemed to implode at that stage.”

When it came to TNA losing its grip, he remarked, “Post my departure, Bischoff, Hogan, and others took over the wheel and took the company in a direction that perhaps didn’t echo with the fans. They were fond of the six-sided ring, and they cherished the identity TNA was trying to create. The moment TNA lost this, they lost everything else too – at least that’s how I see it.”
