There have been rumblings for months about Gable Steveson signing with WWE. When he won an Olympic gold medal in Tokyo a few weeks ago, those discussions intensified. Now even WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is talking about the possibility of Steveson joining The Hurt Business.

Bobby Lashley recently spoke with ViBe & Wrestling about Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson potentially becoming part of the WWE roster:

“That kid has so much potential to do whatever he wants to do right now, so I got to take my hat off to him because I watched him at the Olympics, and he looked incredible,” Bobby Lashley said. “I’m not trying to pull him this way because he is young, he is 21 years old, he can go fight if he wants to and get that out of his system, or that might be his calling. Or he could come to WWE, but I’ll tell you this—if he does come to WWE, the smart choice would be to give me a call, and maybe we can bring him into The Hurt Business and help out his career.

“If he comes to WWE and he is not a part of The Hurt Business, then he is gonna fall like anybody else and be a second-rate guy. So that’s his options,” Lashley said. “Either come to WWE and join The Hurt Business, and we can ensure him that he is going be in the right place in the right hands, or he can go to UFC and try his hand at it.

“I think he is really siding towards coming here with WWE, so I’m sure that he knows that he has a potential to come see me, and we can probably help out his career and join The Hurt Business. I’ll send something out to him, I may have MVP reach out to him and kind of let him know his options,” Lashley explained, “but the best option for him is to join The Hurt Business. We’ll throw a nice little suit on him, dress him up a little bit, clean him up a little bit and make him a professional and put a title under him.”
