The “All Mighty,” Bobby Lashley, revealed recently that he had an opportunity to take on WWE Hall of Fame inductee and boxing legend Mike Tyson in the ring. This disclosure came from Lashley himself.
Earlier this year, Lashley concluded his stint with WWE. Despite ensuing rumors about a possible transition to AEW, Lashley has not yet appeared on their roster.
During a virtual event for K&S WrestleFest, Lashley revealed that he was approached a few months back with the offer of stepping into the ring with Tyson. In his words,
“I was offered a Mike Tyson fight also. I was offered Mike Tyson several months back. I was like, ‘Hmm, that would be a good fight.’ People asked me the same question, ‘Can I beat Mike Tyson?’ I’m not going to say, ‘Oh yeah, I can beat Mike Tyson,’ but I would like to do the fight. That’s what it’s all about to me. As a competitor, as a fighter, I’m going to take a fight that comes my way. If it makes sense, I’ll do it.”
In August 2022, Lashley made it public that a fight with Tyson had been proposed, with Madison Square Garden as the chosen venue.
Meanwhile, Tyson’s next match is set against Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium on November 15, marking Tyson’s first time in the ring after a two-year hiatus.
