In a recent segment during the “Insight” podcast, professional wrestler Bobby Lashley recounted an incident when he was shot during a bank robbery. Highlights from the podcast are detailed as follows:
Discussing the shooting during the robbery, Lashley said, “The person barged into the bank and all of a sudden, the gun went off. I dove onto the cold pavement, completely at a disadvantage. That situation made me contemplate my seriousness and safety.”
While talking about his reactions after the incident, Lashley shared, “My life flashed before my eyes. The gunshot’s impact was so heavy, I was deafened for a while and had a loud ringing in my head. The sudden plunge on the ground put me in shock.”
Regarding his subsequent hospitalization and operation, Lashley mentioned the surgical estimate of an eight-month healing period. “Being a passionate wrestler, I intended to recover in four months so that I could prepare for my upcoming tournament.”, Lashley added.
On a separate note, during his podcast “Keepin’ It 100”, AAA booker Konnan showed appreciation for Anna Jay’s recent growth. He admired Jay’s improvements, stating, “Anna Jay has significantly improved and has high potential for the future.” She had a stint in Japan before rejoining AEW in September.
During another podcast interview with the Sports Illustrated, professional wrestlers James Drake and Zack Gibson, known as the Grizzled Young Veterans, talked about their WWE experience.
Drake spoke about their stint with WWE, “We cherished our WWE tenure as well as other wrestling promotions we worked with.” He added that they are grateful to WWE as it led to their current position in their career journey.
Gibson mentioned the number of wrestling companies they competed in over the course of a single year, including Ring of Honor, AEW, TNA, and New Japan. This diverse experience was only possible due to their decision of wanting to see the entire wrestling world, not just WWE. This decision has proven to be beneficial with an upward trend in their careers.
