Riddle was in a world of hurt on Monday night.
He won a WWE United States Championship Match via disqualification, but Bobby Lashley retained the title because a title doesn’t change hands on a disqualification. An unhinged Lashley repeatedly put him in the Hurt Lock, even after the referee rang the bell. Riddle got some offense in before the official threw out the match when Lashley refused to break the Hurt Lock while Riddle was in the ropes. After the bell, an infuriated Lashley continued to put Riddle in the Hurt Lock to inflict extra punishment on him.

Several weeks ago, Lashley easily retained the title against Riddle on WWE RAW. But the challenger earned this opportunity by beating the Hurt Business in a Gauntlet Match last week.
