Bobby Lashley Explains Why He Signed With AEW, Dustin Rhodes Hypes AEW All In: Texas

Last month saw the introduction of Bobby Lashley to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), a promotion overseen by Tony Khan. Recently, on the “Lame Guys Podcast,” he spoke about why he decided to affiliate himself with AEW.

“One of the reasons is that Tony assured me that I would have options to venture into different territories. I can step into the ring again, irrespective of whether it’s boxing, bareknuckle fighting, or MMA, he’s open to offering me those opportunities. Additionally, I can continue with my other ongoing projects. The prospect of Hurt Business and the potential of transforming it into the Hurt Syndicate were also intriguing possibilities. I felt that if I was to make an exit, there were certain prerequisites. I wasn’t previously able to conclude on my terms, building riveting feuds and supporting newcomers. Being associated with P and Shelton again and relishing the experience was exciting,”

He further debated that “This squad is beneficial for the foundation. We have the capacity to nurture new talent. Whether you engage in conflict with us or position yourself against P on the mic, we present formidable challenges. It is not a must to outdo all of us, but you will get the chance to prove your mettle. It will add value to your profile, and put you on a different pedestal. Even though we may outnumber you, if you excel, you can triumph. In my remaining years, I’d like to assist others in enhancing their careers.”

Dustin Rhodes is eyeing a strong presence at AEW’s All In: Texas event.

AEW All In: Texas is scheduled for July next year, and Dustin revealed his aspirations for the grand occasion speaking to WFFA 8.

“Yes, I have set some targets for myself for All In: Texas, keeping them unresolved for the time being. Our first U.S. stadium show is expected to make waves, and I hope to play a significant part in it.”

AEW All In: Texas is set to open sale of tickets on December 9th.
