In a recent conversation with Denise Salcedo at AEW All In Texas Countdown event, professional wrestler, Bobby Lashley, shared his perspective on the differences between his experiences with AEW and WWE. He also discussed his current career goals and more.
Some noteworthy excerpts from the conversation are given below:
When questioned about his creative freedom in AEW as compared to WWE, Bobby said, “During my tenure with WWE, things were highly regimented. It was a world filled with structure. However, transitioning to AEW allowed me more artistic freedom and a chance to enjoy what I do a bit more. This replicates my experience when I originally joined WWE, prior to leaving and joining TNA. My stint with TNA let me truly discover and develop my character, thanks to the additional flexibility I had.”
On being queried about his current career objectives, Bobby replied, “When I returned to WWE, the regimented environment was back, which wasn’t a bad thing, I quite liked what they’ve got there. However, in the present phase of my career, as a veteran athlete, I cherish the opportunity to mentor the younger talent, enjoy my creative freedom, and explore the things I wish to do and say. This, to me, seems like the ideal situation at this juncture of my journey.”
