Just two nights after Bobby Lashley defended his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37, the “All Mighty” was challenged by Matt Riddle.

Of course, Riddle wasn’t 100% either as he had lost his United States Championship the night before against Sheamus. Lashley was in no mood for games and began beating Riddle before the match officially started. After throwing him into the barricade, destroying his scooter, and doing plenty of damage, the match started off one-sided in the WWE Champion’s favor.

A one-handed vertical suplex showed Lashley’s dominance. Riddle would try to battle back into the match but was tossed out of the ring for his effort. After pressing Riddle over the barricade, Lashley walked into the ring as the match went to a commercial. Once RAW returned, Lashley was still in control and was continuing to enjoy putting on a beating without going for pin attempts. Against all odds, Riddle was able to capitalized on Lashley’s hubris and landed a huge knee to Lashley that knocked the champion down. Riddle then went to the top rope, but missed a Floating Bro, which allowed Lashley to lock in the Hurt Lock for the win.
