If you didn’t happen to catch it, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul Levesque, humorously shared a reel of outtakes from the introductory clip he filmed with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for WWE Bad Blood.
In the original promo package, the character Triple H introduces a mission to Rhodes, which involves surveying the State Farm Arena before the major event with Metro Boomin. As it turns out, committing these few lines to memory posed quite a challenge, especially with Levesque struggling to recall his lines and mistakenly saying the other’s parts.
You can take a look at this delightful collection of bloopers here:
At one point, Triple H tweeted: “@CodyRhodes is a total pro. Maybe someday I will be, too…Had a ton of fun shooting this one with the champ. #WWEBadBlood”
Just to share my perspective: I thoroughly enjoy when they expose these behind-the-scenes moments. It would be great to see this kind of transparency continue in the future. Some traditionalists may not appreciate the break from the realm of kayfabe, but in an industry known for its scripted elements, I think we can afford to relax and enjoy these lighthearted moments. This is in the same vein as press conferences and documentary footage that blur the lines of reality and script; it was entertaining and enjoyable!
