Blair Davenport Expresses Joy Over SmackDown Move – ‘My Ultimate Dream Come True’

Blair Davenport is excited for what’s to come for her on WWE SmackDown as a move to the main roster is something she’s been waiting for.

Davenport was moved from WWE NXT to SmackDown during Night Two of the 2024 WWE Draft. She has previously competed as part of WWE NXT UK.

In a WWE “Digital Exclusive,” Davenport reflected on her move to the blue brand. She said,

“It does. I feel like this job’s the only thing I’ve ever felt like I was meant to do. I never really fit in doing anything else. I had so many different things before I had this. Just to see that now I’m a part of SmackDown, I can’t even, I’m on a wave of emotions right now. This is honestly everything I’ve ever wanted. I’ve made my family proud, I know I’ve made all my friends back home, everything I’ve felt behind on the journey, and it’s just really, really nice to see that everything I’ve sacrificed in a way is finally paying off.

“I was almost just like, is that me? Are they saying my name? I think Ilja [Dragunov], Carmelo [Hayes], Lyra [Valkyria], Kiana [James], they’re all such top-tier talent, and for me to be included in this draft, it means so much to me that I’m on par with those guys, and how they’re viewed.”

The new rosters will come into effect after this weekend’s WWE Backlash: France pay-per-view, the first event of its kind in the European nation.
