Under the helm of its President Billy Corgan, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) is pledged to remain a significant force in the wrestling industry. With Corgan’s steadfast commitment, NWA aims to continue its legacy and cement its position in the future of wrestling.
During the inauguracion of the NWA 76 event on the latest episode of NWA Powerrr, Corgan took the stage and expressed his determined vision. In his words,
“I bought this company to steer it back to its glory days, and that is exactly what we are striving for. The existence of the National Wrestling Alliance is secure as long as I am at its helm, and we will not be deterred. We are the embodiment of wrestling history and tradition. If anyone dares to challenge my ownership of NWA, they will have to pry it from my lifeless grasp.”
Billy Corgan stepped into the wrestling industry when he acquired the promotion in 2017. During his proclamation, he extended an invitation to former RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, expressing an interest to see him return to the NWA ring. He stated,
“Adam Pearce, when you’re prepared to return, we welcome you to step into an NWA ring one more time…”
Pearce is an esteemed figure in wrestling history, with five NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion titles to his name. Alongside Pearce, the prestigious title has been held by Nick Aldis, WWE General Manager and previous NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion whose reign lasted for over 1,300 days.
Adding to the excitement of the NWA 76 kickoff, a Tweet from the official NWA page revealed some tantalizing details of the upcoming matches on the docket.
