Welcome to yet another exciting segment of eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!
Currently, it’s rumored that the WWE WrestleMania 41 cards are essentially locked in and fully finalized. Though I might be skeptical, expecting to see Randy Orton pop up somewhere in the lineup, I concede that it’s improbable any additional changes will make their way to The Grandest Stage of Them All.
The burning question for today is “Which WWE Superstars do you feel are the most glaringly missing from this year’s WrestleMania lineup?”
Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments below.
As for my take on this…
Assuming Orton doesn’t make an appearance, he undeniably takes the top spot on the list for obvious reasons, even though this might not be an interesting answer.
Given that we know some Superstars have been inactive for some time, or considering the sudden removal of Kevin Owens from the show, names like Sheamus, Sami Zayn, and Bronson Reed don’t really register an impact for me.
Even The Street Profits and Motor City Machine Guns, who at least are wrestling for the tag titles on SmackDown, offer more significance than being just another participant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
But if I had to single out the most glaring omission, my bet would be on Chelsea Green. It seems unjustifiable that a performer of her caliber, having excelled as the women’s United States champion, isn’t featured on the card. Even Lyra Valkyria, who is set to face off for the women’s tag titles, at least has some coverage—even if she isn’t defending her Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Green unfortunately doesn’t share the same fate, and I believe a more thoughtful planning could have secured her a significant spot against a high-profile name like Trish Stratus or someone else.
Apart from Green, the sidelining of Alexa Bliss raises eyebrows. What’s up with that? She should’ve been paired with Nikki Cross for the women’s tag title contest.
Another point to consider is the line-up for the ATGMBR. While it’s understandable that Rey Fenix might not have a match just after signing with the company, Carmelo Hayes’ absence is baffling. Wouldn’t it be odd if Solo Sikoa misses out on a match for the third consecutive year? And what about Jimmy Uso and Ludwig Kaiser being left out in the cold?
