Big E, a former holder of the WWE Championship title, has recently shed some light on his progress following a neck injury, including the potential revival of his wrestling career. This update comes two and a half years after his injury.
On March 11, 2022, during an episode of WWE SmackDown, Big E sustained a broken neck and has been unable to participate in any action since then.
In a chat with Philly Sports Talk’s Kyle Odegard, Big E disclosed that he is set to undergo more neck scans in the near future. If the results are favourable, he will contemplate making a return to the ring. He stated,
“I’m simply living each day as it comes. I am aware it might seem banal. I anticipate getting scanned again in the upcoming three to six months, and if the results are positive and the medical professionals assert that it is safe for me to return, then it’s a scenario we’ll sit down and discuss.
“However, I don’t waste much time agonizing over elements beyond my control. It’s comforting to know that if a chance arises to come back to the ring, and I can do so in a healthy manner, then let’s go for it. Let’s tackle it head on. But if that’s not feasible, I already have a clear vision for my future path, and I’m thrilled about it too.”
As part of his recovery process, Big E recently received Stem Cell therapy at the RejuvStem clinic, a popular choice among many wrestlers.
In spite of his physical setback, Big E maintains his presence in the WWE world, making appearances on pay-per-view panels and serving as a talent scout during tryouts.
