Big E has expressed that The New Day is facing a pivotal point in their wrestling journey at present.
While being a guest on the “Getting Over” podcast, Big E shared his thoughts on Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and their current position in WWE. He commented,
“Without a doubt, those two are my brothers forever. They’re in a slightly tricky situation at the moment. We have had our fair share of time at the pinnacle of the tag division. Kofi had his stint as a World Champion. I seized the opportunity to also be a World Champion. Woods secured the King of the Ring title. The real question after our time in NXT is, ‘What’s our place here now?'”
He further elaborated, “In the present scenario, with Karrion Kross and that trajectory, it seems like we’re at a crossroads, trying to figure out the next steps. We’ve always functioned as a trio and did everything in unison. I hate to say it’s up to them, I haven’t turned my back on them, but it’s a situation they need to face and manage as well. Kofi is in his 40s, Woods is approaching his 40s too. Yet, they have so much more to contribute. Whether they choose to do that together or as individuals, it is an intriguing moment to watch which path they choose.”
