In a recent interaction on an IGN video series where he delights his fans by playing some WWE 2K25, Big E, the erstwhile WWE Champion got candid about his bond with fellow WWE star, Roman Reigns.

Here are some precious moments curated from the interaction:

Speaking about Reigns and his friendship with him, Big E said, “Roman and I share a friendship that extends to 14 years. I met him during his football days at Georgia Tech. Back then, both of us were defensive tackles. So yes, I have been in touch with him since our college days. I remember he was among the top performers at Georgia Tech which is why I knew him then.”

He also reminisced about a video from their old days that became popular. He said, “In the early days, a clip went viral that featured me benching 575 at Cena’s gym with Roman spotting me. When you are starting off in places like WWE and FCW, the teams are small and everyone trains together. So, yes back then there were around 40 of us sweating together every day. So, I know Roman quite well.”

Further, in another segment of the “Ring the Belle” podcast, one of WWE’s legendary women’s champion, Wendi Richter opened up about her admiration for Cyndi Lauper and her wish to see her being recognized in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Some memorable excerpts from the podcast are as follows:

Expressing her love for Lauper’s song “Girl Just Want to Have Fun”, she said, “This particular song still strikes a chord. Even after years, I still remember entering the ring while this song played. The crowd would instantly know who was coming. Even till today, it is loved by all. Having Cyndi Lauper sing it was like the icing on the cake.”

Richter also seemed pretty vocal about her desire to see Cyndi Lauper being commemorated in the WWE Hall of Fame. She said, “Following that, I became a widespread phenomenon. It’s my earnest hope that lauper is revered in the celebrity division of the Hall of Fame somaeday. She has definitely done much more for wrestling than any other celebrity. I guess it’s just about the timing working out for her.”
