“It was something that was like, another moment to show what I was made of. I’ve been a huge fan of Rhea Ripley for a long time, and the cool thing about this whole thing was I’ve probably watched every single match of hers since her time in NXT up until now. So I’ve had countless matches and years of film study on her, but for me, she didn’t really have much on me to watch. She’s had the past year or two to watch.

I really haven’t had that much of a chance to show what I’m made of, so I think I went into the match with an upper hand on that, knowing that I’ve had years and years on her and she really hasn’t had anything on me. So I think I went into that match with a huge surprise [for] her.”

Ripley defeated Nile to retain the WWE Women’s World Title at the show.

On a recent edition of the “MMA Hour” podcast, Bianca Belair revealed that the SmackDown Tag Team Title match on the pre-WrestleMania 37 edition of SmackDown was originally supposed to take place at the pay-per-view event itself.

The April 9th, 2021 episode of WWE SmackDown saw Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode defend the titles against The Street Profits, Chad Gable & Otis, and Dominik Mysterio & Rey Mysterio.

Belair said, “In the past, people don’t know this, but WrestleMania 37, he was supposed to have a WrestleMania match. He got gear made, he had family coming in. Things change all the time, his match ended up getting moved to the night before on SmackDown.

He had every right to feel devasted and be down. He could have walked around like he had a cloud over his head, but the very next day, I was main eventing WrestleMania. That’s the balance where he chose to be a husband that night and be happy for me and proud of me and celebrate me instead of being a worker and being frustrated about his situation. That can be very difficult to do.”

Ivy Nile recently had a match against Rhea Ripley on the ‘Day 1’ themed episode of Monday Night RAW. In a recent interview with “WWE Die Woche,” Nile discussed her experience and reflected on her failed attempt at the Women’s World Championship.

Nile expressed her admiration for Ripley, stating that she has been a huge fan of hers for a long time. She mentioned that she has watched every single match of Ripley’s since her time in NXT up until now. Nile also revealed that she had years of film study on Ripley, while Ripley didn’t have much to watch on her. This gave Nile a sense of confidence and an upper hand going into the match.

“I really haven’t had that much of a chance to show what I’m made of, so I think I went into the match with an upper hand on that, knowing that I’ve had years and years on her and she really hasn’t had anything on me. So I think I went into that match with a huge surprise [for] her,” Nile said.

Despite Nile’s confidence, Ripley emerged victorious and retained the WWE Women’s World Title. It was a tough loss for Nile, but she showcased her talent and determination in the match.

Belair mentioned that her husband, Montez Ford, was supposed to have a WrestleMania match. He had even prepared gear and had family coming in for the event. However, plans changed, and his match was rescheduled for the night before on SmackDown.

Despite the disappointment, Ford chose to support and celebrate Belair, who was main eventing WrestleMania the next day. Belair commended her husband for his positive attitude and being a supportive husband instead of being frustrated about his own situation.

These incidents highlight the unpredictable nature of the wrestling industry and the need for wrestlers to adapt to changes quickly. It also showcases the resilience and professionalism of the athletes who continue to give their best despite setbacks.
