WWE SummerSlam 2021 was a painful memory for Bianca Belair.

At WrestleMania 37 (Night 1), Belair went head-to-head with Mercedes Mone, known on stage as Sasha Banks, and snatched the Women’s Championship. Following her notable triumph, she succeeded in maintaining her title on multiple occasions until her reign was abruptly ended at WWE SummerSlam 2021.

Belair was due to enter the ring with Carmella in the kick-off match. However, the comeback of Becky Lynch, who achieved victory within a record 26 seconds, took her by surprise, and marked Lynch’s unexpected villainous turn.

In the wake of the event, Belair spoke with “Metro” about the immense embarrassment she felt during WWE SummerSlam 2021.

Speaking about the incident, she stated, “26 seconds at SummerSlam, that’s the most embarrassed I’ve ever been. My parents were in the audience, they didn’t know what was going on, they had no idea what was happening,’ she recalled. ‘I felt really bad for them.”

This upcoming Friday on SmackDown, Belair and Jade Cargill will be vying against Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
