Bianca Belair and Montez Ford Express Interest in UFC Competition

WWE and UFC completed their merger under TKO Group Holdings after Endeavor acquired the billion-dollar wrestling promotion last year.

During a recent interview with “TNT Sports” at UFC 298, WWE couple Bianca Belair and Montez Ford addressed the possibility of competing in the Octagon.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

Bianca Belair on if she’d ever fight in the Octagon: “I can see myself training for it. I have a lot of respect for what they do, just like I think they have a lot of respect for what we do, which is amazing that we’re here tonight, and then we have Raw here on Monday. I would love to train and gain the skills that they have. I’ve been in the ring with some of the women that have this background like Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, and they are tough. I would love to have some skills that they have, but as far as competing, I think I’m good.”

On if any UFC fighters want to face her in WWE: “In the ring, they want to come over to the WWE ring like Ronda Rousey did, come meet me there and we can see what we can do. But as far as that goes, I think the training is as far as that will go.”

Montez Ford on if he’d ever fight: “100%, always. Now, I do get nervous about messing up this pretty face you know I do look better in person. I know the camera is a little different, but I will say, I’ve always been a fan of it, always trained for it. It is something I was talking about like in the last two years about actually going over and having a match. You know seeing CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and a couple even, Bobby Lashley, the guy I’m with now, doing different promotions, doing you know those fighting promotions. So, it’s something I had interest in, but it got shut down quickly.”

WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford Discuss the Possibility of Competing in the UFC Octagon

In a recent interview with “TNT Sports” at UFC 298, WWE couple Bianca Belair and Montez Ford opened up about their thoughts on potentially competing in the UFC Octagon. The interview shed light on their admiration for the sport and their willingness to train, but also highlighted their commitment to professional wrestling.

Bianca Belair, known for her incredible athleticism and strength in the WWE ring, expressed her respect for UFC fighters and their skills. She mentioned having been in the ring with women like Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, who have backgrounds in mixed martial arts. Belair acknowledged their toughness and expressed her desire to gain some of the skills they possess.

Belair stated, “I can see myself training for it.

While Belair expressed her interest in training and learning from UFC fighters, she made it clear that she is content with her career in professional wrestling. The WWE superstar recognizes the distinct differences between the two sports and seems to prioritize her commitment to the WWE.

When asked if any UFC fighters would want to face her in the WWE ring, Belair responded, “In the ring, they want to come over to the WWE ring like Ronda Rousey did, come meet me there and we can see what we can do. But as far as that goes, I think the training is as far as that will go.”

Montez Ford, Belair’s husband and fellow WWE superstar, also shared his thoughts on potentially competing in the UFC. Ford expressed his enthusiasm for the sport and admitted to having considered the idea in the past. He mentioned being a fan of fighters like CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Bobby Lashley, who have transitioned between professional wrestling and fighting promotions.

Ford stated, “100%, always. Now, I do get nervous about messing up this pretty face, you know I do look better in person.

Ford’s comments indicate that he has contemplated the idea of competing in fighting promotions but has faced obstacles in pursuing it further. Despite his interest, it seems that his focus remains on his career in professional wrestling.

The interview with Bianca Belair and Montez Ford provides insight into their admiration for the UFC and their willingness to train in mixed martial arts. While both WWE superstars express interest in gaining skills from UFC fighters, they also emphasize their commitment to professional wrestling.
