In the wake of Hurricane Helene’s destructive touch upon the southeast last week, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix offered an update on social media today. She reassuringly told followers that she and her kinfolk are safe.
In Phoenix’s words, “Copeland Update: The Copeland Family is safe and gathered together. Appreciations to all who have expressed concern!! For several days we were cutoff – no cell phones, no electricity, no water, restricted gas and mobility, but we are now gradually regaining normalcy. We are fortunate that we escaped unscathed and our home and those of our family members suffered minimal damage in the wake of the devastating Hurricane Helene. Due to intermittent access to internet or media, this is my first opportunity to witness all the horrific visuals of our cherished Asheville and the surrounding impacted areas through the perspective of others. To call this situation overwhelming barely covers it. As we, as a community, mourn, reflect and rebuild, I wanted to share an anecdote of a circumstance we faced.”
