As we previously reported here on eWn, Teddy Hart was set to have a hearing on April 4 on the charges of possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. That hearing was listed as a mandatory appearance on Hart’s behalf for “Early Resolution,” a division that identifies potential candidates for early plea deals.

According to court records, Hart didn’t show up and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. This is the second time that Hart has missed a court hearing.

A bench warrant was issued in February after Hart missed a previous Early Resolution hearing. However, that warrant was rescinded last month when his lawyers stated that he was in the hospital during the hearing and was unable to contact them.

The new arrest warrant has a $4,000 bond.

Hart was arrested on July 15, 2023, in Florida and charged with possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, both of which are third-degree felonies.

Former professional wrestler Teddy Hart is facing legal trouble once again. Hart was scheduled to appear in court on April 4 for a hearing regarding charges of possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. However, he failed to show up, resulting in a bench warrant being issued for his arrest. This is not the first time Hart has missed a court hearing, as a bench warrant was also issued in February when he failed to attend a previous Early Resolution hearing.

Hart’s lawyers were able to have the warrant rescinded last month by explaining that he was in the hospital during the hearing and was unable to contact them. However, this recent failure to appear has led to a new arrest warrant being issued, with a $4,000 bond attached.

The initial arrest of Teddy Hart took place on July 15, 2023, in Florida. He was charged with possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, both of which are third-degree felonies. These charges carry serious consequences, including potential jail time and hefty fines.

This is not the first time Hart has faced legal issues. Throughout his career, he has had several run-ins with the law, including previous drug-related charges. These incidents have tarnished his reputation and hindered his professional wrestling career.

Teddy Hart comes from a prominent wrestling family, with his grandfather being the legendary Stu Hart and his uncles being Bret and Owen Hart. Despite his family’s wrestling legacy, Hart has struggled to stay out of trouble and make a positive impact in the industry.

It is unfortunate to see someone with such potential continually make poor choices that lead to legal consequences. Hopefully, Hart can find the help and support he needs to overcome his personal struggles and turn his life around.

In the meantime, fans of professional wrestling can divert their attention to other events happening in the industry, such as the Zero Hour pre-show for ROH Supercard Of Honor. This pre-show offers an opportunity to enjoy the sport without the distractions of legal troubles and controversies.
