eWn has previously reported that the inaugural two episodes of WWE NXT are scheduled to air on The CW Network. The broadcasts will take place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on the 1st of October, and subsequently at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis on the 8th of October.
Prominent wrestler CM Punk is slated to make an appearance at the Chicago event, and Randy Orton is set to enhance the St. Louis event with his participation. The ticket release for both these events has been earmarked for Thursday, the 15th of August, commencing from 10:00 AM local time.
Fightful Select made a recent update about the behind-the-scenes response to these announcements.
Their report suggests a significantly amplified enthusiasm towards the return of NXT on the road. However, while the WWE has verified that the TV tapings on October 1 and 8 will be hosted outside of Orlando, it remains to be seen if this adjustment will be a lasting one.
Furthermore, insiders from the WWE hint a potentially expanded involvement of main roster talent at both the scheduled shows of the 1st and 8th October.
Notably, the October 8 edition of WWE NXT is set to go head-to-head with a special “Title Tuesday” episode of AEW Dynamite, occupying the same broadcast timeslot.
