Ireland could be next in line to host a major WWE event if Becky Lynch has her way.
Over the past year, WWE has held multiple events outside of the continental United States, including Clash at the Castle 2022 in Cardiff, Wales, Elimination Chamber 2023 in Montreal, Canada, and Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico.
Speaking on the “My Love Letter to Wrestling” podcast, Lynch was asked by NXT UK alum Mark Andrews if WWE could one day host a major event in Ireland. She said,
“We were just talking about that. Yes, I gave the venue and all, they already asked, we can have one. I don’t know that we have the population to sustain it, but I think when you have the UK and Europe so close, absolutely.”
In addition to Lynch, WWE is home to multiple Irish Superstars, including Finn Balor, Sheamus, JD McDonagh, and Lyra Valkyria.
WWE’s next Premium Live Event will be Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, while the promotion will head to London, England this July for Money in the Bank.
