Becky Lynch recently said goodbye to the WWE Universe, at least for the short-term future. The Man is focusing on her journey as an expecting mother. In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Lynch discussed her farewell on WWE RAW, Asuka and more.

Lynch said that she wanted to thank the fans for their support throughout her rise to stardom. “’I wanted to put my heart out there and let people know how much they’ve meant to me,’”said Lynch via Barrasso. “I hope I expressed that none of this would have been possible without the fans, the people who lifted me up.”

Lynch also praised the new RAW Women’s Champion, Asuka. “’Passing that championship onto Asuka meant a lot,’” said Lynch via Barrasso. “’She really, really deserves it. And another element that people missed, because it’s not really advertised, is that she’s a working mom.'”

Lynch pointed to Asuka’s status as a working mother and credited her with being able to do it successfully. “‘She’s proven that you can do it all,'” said Lynch via Barrasso. “‘You can be a badass and go off and have a family, you can come in and still kick more ass, have a YouTube show and be entertaining as all hell. The fact that she was the person to take that title from me meant a lot to me.’”

Finally, regardless of what the future holds, Lynch said she’ll always be loyal to the WWE. “’The WWE is my family, my actual family,’” said Lynch via Barrasso. “’I will always stay involved.’”
