Bayley, the reigning WWE Women’s Champion, has voiced her wish for WWE to consider extending an invitation to the TNA Knockouts in the event of a sequel to the ‘Evolution’ pay-per-view competition.
In the year 2018, WWE presented its inaugural Evolution pay-per-view event, composing exclusively of matches from the women’s division. The event remains the only one of its kind to date.
During a conversation with Cody Rhodes on the “What Do You Want To Talk About?” podcast, Bayley advocated for a sequel to the Evolution event, expressing a wish to incorporate talent from TNA. She opinionated,
“The first Evolution event was exceptional in showcasing many competitors from NXT on a grand scale, mixed with numerous prominent figures from the past. It reminded me of the initial few Royal Rumble events that needed past female performers given our then-shortage. But times have changed, and now we have an abundance of talented women. It’d be great to have everyone from the Raw and SmackDown rosters be a part of Evolution 2.”
She continued her advocacy, “In addition, there’s potential to introduce girls from NXT, like Jordynne Grace recently, and perhaps those from TNA, provided a suitable connection can be established. There’s even scope to incorporate past legends willing to make a brief contribution. We presently boast of a profoundly talented roster that can single-handedly pull off another PLE event.”
Arguing the evolution of WWE over the years, she added, “Given the passing of so many years, it’s not as if we are proposing an annual repeat event. We must admit that the present is vastly different from the past, and it feels like the right moment for Evolution 2.”
Jordynne Grace made a recent significant contribution, partaking in the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year and challenging NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at the WWE NXT: Battleground event.
Moreover, TNA Wrestling reciprocated by arranging a match between Tatum Paxley and Grace at the Against All Odds pay-per-view event, where Paxley challenged but failed to overthrow the TNA Knockouts World Champion.
