Family comedy “My Spy”, originally scheduled for a theatrical run starting next Friday, will now debut on Amazon’s Prime Video platform. The film, which stars WWE Legend Batista and Chloe Coleman, shows how a hardened CIA operative deals with a “precocious 9-year-old girl” that he must protect and mentor in the art of spycraft.

“My Spy” did have a theatrical bow in Canada before the shutdowns caused by the global coronavirus pandemic, so the film isn’t bypassing theaters entirely. Still, it’s another in a growing lineup of films that are hitting home streaming much earlier than anticipated in an attempt to recoup losses and satiate a public desperate for a distraction.

Amazon has not announced the exact date that “My Spy” will launch on its service, but you can pre-order the digital film for the standard Prime Video Cinema price of $19.99.
