Barry Orton Passes Away At The Age Of 62

Barry Orton

Unfortunate news to pass along as Barry Orton, brother of “Cowboy” Bob Orton and uncle to Randy Orton has passed away at the age of 62 yesterday. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer was the first to report of his passing.

Orton, like his father, brother and nephew also donned a pair of wrestling tights, specifically during the 80’s and early 90’s. He competed as Barry Orton, Barry O and consistently headlined as the Zodiak in Stampede Wrestling where he tagged with Jason The Terrible. Orton’s career was seemingly cut short as he became one of the voices against WWF during the 1990s ring boy scandal involving former official Mel Phillips and Terry Garvin.

Barry also worked with talents such as his brother Bob, Hector Guerrero and Jody Hamilton in memorable tag team runs during the territory days.

We here at WrestleZone want to extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the Orton family at this time.
