WWE Superstar Baron Corbin recently sat down with the team on No Holds Barred podcast to talk about a variety of things surrounding his finishing maneuver, End of Days. Check out some of the highlights below.
On who decided the finisher would be executed on Becky Lynch and the reaction afterwards:
I think that was all Vince. I think that was Vince’s master plan. I mean the guy, in my opinion, is a genius. I think it’s a special talent that he has and that nobody saw it coming. When I hit it, it was such a crazy reaction because at first it was like this quietness rolled over. Once they realized what had actually happened it was a moment where you turned to your friend and went ‘Did you see that!?’ They finally realized I put Becky down and the boos just went crazy. It was like a three-part reaction. It was just unbelievable.
On protecting his finisher and getting advice about it:
I had a conversation with Undertaker on this. He made the Tombstone something very special and nobody kicked out of it for a long time. Nobody has ever kicked out of the End Of Days. When it lands, it’s over, and people know that. Hopefully, ten years down the line, there’s a moment where someone strong enough to withstand an End Of Days and it’ll make for that iconic moment. I think keeping your things sacred is a little bit lost because people want to keep up with these Internet fans who love this high, fast-paced action. I try to keep it simple and I think that is what makes it important.
