“Barbie” Film Featuring John Cena Facing International Ban In Some Countries

John Cena is a member of the cast of the forthcoming live-action Barbie film that will be released on July 21, 2023.

The movie is directed by Greta Gerwig and written by Gerwig and Noah Baumbach.

The film stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken. Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman and Kate McKinnon are also part of the cast.

According to Deadline.com, the movie is being banned from any commercial screenings in Vietnam. This is due to a scene depicted in the movie that has geographical implications that Vietnam is contesting, and The Philippines is “deliberating” a permit to let the movie be screened in the country.
