Professional wrestler Bandido, a prominent figure in Ring of Honor, acknowledged sustaining an injury upon his reappearance during the previous weekend’s ROH Final Battle 2024 event.
Bandido arrived on the scene following the ROH World Title face-off to rescue Matt Cardona from an after-bout onslaught by Chris Jericho and The Learning Tree.
Subsequently, reports surfaced stating that Bandido had suffered a concussion after his head thudded against the mat while executing a missile dropkick.
Through a post on Instagram, Bandido confirmed the injury and expressed his resolution to return stronger than before.
“My thanks go to God first and foremost, for granting me another day of life despite everything. The blow was to a critical part of my head, all that remains now is to await any signs of brain inflammation. The outpour of concern from everyone about my current condition has been overwhelming! It’s been a struggle dealing with my own frustrations. The biggest fight of my life is ahead of me, a fight against myself!! My intentions are clear – I intend to make my return to the squad, whatever it takes!!”
“Neither you, me, nor anyone can hit as hard as life does but no matter how strongly life hits, never give up! Keep persevering, keep moving ahead, that’s how you prove your mettle. ROCKY BALBOA”
Bandido was off the active roster since June 2023, dealing with a wrist injury. He underwent two surgeries in the same year.
