Backstage WWE Reaction To CM Punk Visiting Monday’s Episode Of RAW

As we previously reported here on eWn, CM Punk flew from Florida to Chicago on the same flight as several WWE Superstars, cleared the air with The Miz, spoke with several WWE stars, and briefly interacted with Paul “Triple H” Levesque while backstage at Monday’s WWE RAW.

Punk entered the venue with WWE talent and remained in the common area where he was clearly seen and never went into a private room. He shook hands with Triple H before asking if it was alright that he was there and wanted to talk for two minutes. Triple H allegedly said he had to make sure with the “big guy,” referencing Vince McMahon, before Punk was asked to leave by security.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE talent thought the situation was weird. He wrote,

“WWE talent generally thought it was weird he was there but was asked to leave relatively quickly. Some thought it was a publicity stunt, and some thought he was looking to get back in.”
