The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) plans to host a trial session in Europe on the last day of March, with a select number of participants, fewer than previous sessions.
According to Fightful Select, among those invited are Rhio, who has had prior auditions with WWE, and Man Like DeReiss, a former contestant for Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling.
The line-up for the tryout session also includes the reigning PROGRESS World Champion Luke Jacobs, noted for his cameo appearance on WWE SmackDown held recently in Spain.
Several others invited to showcase their skills include Goldenboy Santos, Zozaya and Adam Maxted. All these faces are familiar to the Spanish audience, as they have previously appeared as security extras. Interestingly, Adam Maxted comes from a reality TV background as a former cast member of “Love Island”.
British wrestler Michael Oku is not expected to receive an invitation. Also absent from the tryout will be Peter Tihanyi, an ex-champion of the Unified World Championship of Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw). Axel Tischer, as he is better known, has been ruled out due to being in the recovery phase following a shoulder injury, rendering him unfit for any strenuous physical activity.
