During the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, viewers were intrigued by a mysterious teaser hinting at someone’s impending arrival. The sequence showcased a vehicle’s revving engine and speeding departure, ambient police sirens, and what seemed to be the city skyline of Detroit, MI.
Reports from Pwinsider suggest that this teaser is likely introducing the Motor City Machine Guns, based on information from various sources. It was initially anticipated that team members Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin would have a minor stint in WWE NXT, but it appears plans have changed. The duo is now expected to bypass NXT and go directly to the main lineup.
It’s worth noting the team wasn’t present at the recent WWE NXT TV tapings in Chicago, IL, contradicting original plans.
We previously announced on Thursday that several renowned WWE veterans are lined-up to attend the forthcoming WWE Bad Blood 2024 pay-per-view event on Saturday. Professionals such as Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner, Diamond Dallas Page, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Madusa, and Jacqueline Moore are expected to be present.
Arn Anderson confirmed his and Tully Blanchard’s attendance via a tweet on Friday. The show is scheduled to happen at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. He posted,
“We’re returning to our old stomping grounds at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta tomorrow.
Tully’s presence is sure to rekindle some old memories, and it’s going to be a thrill to revisit the revitalized WWE.
Looking forward to seeing all my buddies who still work there!”
At present, the roles of these legacy WWE stars in the event remain uncertain. It’s possible that they might be featured in an atmospheric setting, much like audience members in a skybox watching the show, echoing SummerSlam 2024’s scenario.
