Backstage Update On Plans For Logan Paul At WWE SummerSlam

Logan Paul will be in action at the August 5th SummerSlam PLE from Detroit, MI.

Paul is coming off a performance in this year’s Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match alongside Damian Priest, Butch, LA Knight, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, and Shinsuke Nakamura, which Priest won.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the plan is for Paul to wrestle Ricochet at SummerSlam. The original idea was for the  Spanish Fly spot through tables in the MITB match to create a viral moment, but it was botched. 

WWE wanted Paul to have a classic match instead of a Markee match and that’s why Ricochet was picked. 

The bout is expected to be confirmed next week on Raw.
