Backstage Update On Jade Cargill’s AEW Status

Jade Cargill retained the AEW TBS Title against Taya Valkyrie in the AEW Double or Nothing event in Las Vegas, Nevada, this past May, only to lose it moments later to a returning Kris Statlander, snapping Jade’s 60-0 winning streak.

Following the match, she teased on Twitter that she likes to be outside of the wrestling bubble, and it was reported that she planned to take time off from the promotion. A previous report in late July said that her AEW status had not changed. That is no longer the case.

Cargill was spotted backstage at the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, according to Fightful Select.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Jade Cargill’s name has been talked about regarding coming back soon.”
