In recent news regarding Drew McIntyre, he transmitted via Twitter that he had been left with fragments of “real glass” in his eye following an incident on SmackDown where he was propelled onto a vehicle windshield.
Pwinsider has been able to corroborate some parts of the story, confirming that McIntyre indeed did receive medical attention where foreign objects were carefully removed from his eye. However, in contradiction to McIntyre’s claim, the substance removed was not identified as glass. The WWE’s seasoned medical team took the precautions necessary to examine him prior to his departure from the venue.
Further adding to the mystery, McIntyre was seen sporting an eye patch backstage, insisting that glass fragments had been successfully removed from his eye. It’s worth noting that McIntyre did not appear at the live event in Austria, although this does not seem to be related as his presence was not expected.
