Bryan Danielson defeated Kazuchika Okada at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II pay-per-view event, which served as the main event. However, after the show, Danielson revealed that he suffered a broken arm and will be out of action for 6-8 weeks.

Earlier this week, Brie Bella noted on her Instagram Stories that Danielson’s injury is worse than they thought and shared an x-ray of the broken arm.

In recent months, Danielson has been working in creative alongside AEW President Tony Khan.

Fightful Select reports that Danielson has been working on AEW Collision for the last several weeks. The report noted Danielson has been viewed as a very valuable person among talent as they like the way he handles creative and the communication process between them and the creative team.

The report noted Danielson’s injury “caused several adjustments creatively for AEW. There were plans for Danielson to wrestle more on television following Forbidden Door.”

Danielson’s injury did cause him to be removed from the Blood and Guts match on July 19 between The Elite and the Blackpool Combat Club.
