The previous WWE Champion, AJ Styles, made his comeback on this week’s SmackDown episode where he contended against Carmelo Hayes. The match, however, was interrupted due to a suspected injury sustained by Styles causing Hayes to be declared the winner.
Insiders report that Styles is perfectly fine, having endured no real injuries. The segment was actually a staged injury scenario for his character. The Phenomenal One is in good health and hasn’t sustained a genuine injury.
When it came to the composition of Styles’ promotional segment, it was internally credited to Chad Barbash. Robert Roode was the producer for Styles’ comeback promo and the AJ Styles versus Carmelo Hayes match.
