Last week CM Punk was pulled from the AEW Collision announcement after being at odds with the promotion after he pushed for Ace Steel, who was part of the All Out 2022 brawl, to be brought back.
After Punk found out that Steel could not physically be at the TV tapings and would have had to work remotely for Collision, he became upset, leading to him being pulled.
Steel was re-hired by AEW “several months ago,” although he hasn’t been working backstage but rather working remotely. As previously reported, CM Punk will make his AEW return on the June 17 premiere of AEW Collision.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio today that Steel will be working remotely as the two sides have settled their issues.
