WWE employees are far from happy after being ordered to return to their offices full-time this week.
In an email issued this week, employees were ordered to work full-time once more at either Titan Tower or the new HQ in Stamford, after a long period of time working from home.
PW Insider Elite reports that “we’ve heard nothing but a negative reaction to the decision” from employees within the company.
Many took issue with WWE not giving those working at home time to prepare for a return to the office, with some having to scramble to find child care and plan a routine.
Given that Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon implemented the full-time hybrid mode of working from home and the office, many believe the new policy is a Vince McMahon call.
Employees who spoke to PW Insider said that the world has changed post-COVID, and found that they were far more productive working from home.
One employee noted that they used to spend the day waiting to get out of the office, and that stress wasn’t there since they’ve been working from home.
That same employee stated that when working at home, they didn’t have to worry about “office politics, traffic, whether I felt ill that day, all the things that weren’t an issue if I was in my own home.”
