An unexpected breaking of kayfabe at AEW’s Revolution 2025 Pay-Per-View event surprisingly did not go over well with the insiders at the event.
Damaris Lewis, an actress who plays the Queen of the Rings in an ongoing biopic about Mildred Burke, was queried on what the filming process, now screening in theaters, had taught her.
Her response was unsettling to some, as she said, “You all know you are going to win before everybody else does,” insinuating that professional wrestling is staged.
According to reports from Fightful Select, Lewis’s remarks were met with “audible groans” from those backstage at Revolution while the reception of her comment “wasn’t exactly positive.”
Conversely, Kelli Berglund, Lewis’s co-star, got a warmer response to her reply of, “Give me a couple of months to really train. I could be down.”
This unfortunately was not received in the desired manner.
