The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shared some details on WWE’s plans to make NXT a third brand in WWE.

WWE NXT Superstars such as Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes have shown up on the main roster, while RAW and SmackDown Superstars like Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Mustafa Ali, and Baron Corbin have appeared in NXT in recent weeks.

This trend will reportedly continue as WWE pushes to get their regular audience more familiar with NXT talents while using established main roster Superstars to boost NXT ratings.

WWE also plans on making NXT “more unpredictable” so that fans will never know who from RAW or SmackDown appears on the show. This strategy will allow WWE to use main roster talent that doesn’t have anything going on for the time being.

WWE was reportedly “encouraged” by last week’s ratings. There are currently discussions about taping NXT outside of Orlando and running live events beyond Florida in smaller venues.
