This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW underwent a plethora of changes due to the various flight delays. There was one plane out of Orlando, FL that was carrying multiple WWE Superstars that was delayed.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, one bout that wasn’t altered due to the travel delays was the previously announced Matt Riddle vs. The Miz matchup.
The match was already pulled from RAW before the travel issues kicked in, and WWE canceled the booking as The Miz wasn’t going to be at the show last night.
Riddle returned to WWE on the post-WrestleMania 39 edition of RAW last week and kicked off his rivalry with The Miz. This led to a match that was supposed to happen last night.
While Riddle and Sami Zayn did arrive at the arena late due to travel issues, both Superstars appeared after the main event match between Solo Sikoa and Kevin Owens, with Zayn and Riddle rescuing The Prizefighter from The Bloodline.
It’s unknown why The Miz did not attend RAW last night. However, WWE would have nixed the advertised match anyway due to Riddle’s travel delay.
