WWE TV witnessed the much-awaited return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on its February 21st segment of SmackDown, making quite the buzz across media headlines.
During his appearance on SmackDown, The Rock provided a riveting promo, expressing his intention to aid in Cody Rhodes’ rise and aid him in his quest to become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
‘The Final Boss’ boldly expanded on his intention to extract a part of Rhodes’ spirit while also speculating that he won’t give his final decision until the Elimination Chamber: Toronto.
On the most recent instalment of Wrestling Observer Radio, insider Dave Meltzer conversed about the evolution of the narrative that features both The Rock and Rhodes prominently.
Meltzer disclosed that the narrative involving The Rock and Rhodes on TV was conceived last week, ticking the notion of it being planned for WrestleMania 41 several months in advance. Notably, The Final Boss had apparently apprised WWE several months before that he wouldn’t be gracing WrestleMania 41.
After WWE’s 40th WrestleMania, refocused his attention on Rhodes and the Undisputed WWE Championship, vowing to make a move on them upon his re-entry into WWE.
