Backstage Note On Rhea Ripley’s Potential Opponent At WWE Backlash

Rhea Ripley dethroned Charlotte Flair to win the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship on the inaugural night of WrestleMania 39.

Fight Fans is reporting that WWE has been discussing Ripley’s opponent for Backlash, with Zelina Vega being pitched as the most likely challenger.

Ripley and Vega have already interacted on television as part of the feud between The Judgment Day and the LWO.

According to the report, the match would be a ‘one-off’ scenario. However, nothing is set in stone as of yet.

WWE Backlash will take place on Saturday, May 6, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
