An updated report has provided clarification on the dismissal of WWE executive producer Lee Fitting from ESPN due to allegations of misconduct against female team members. More information has been brought to light regarding WWE’s internal reaction to The Athletic’s revelations.
Presumably, WWE was aware of Fitting’s circumstance and the reasons that led to his dismissal from ESPN at the time of his appointment. Interestingly, it seems like there is no immediate negative fallout within WWE, according to the report.
Fan speculation was sparked when Fitting’s name did not appear alongside others in the weekly WWE RAW credits. This was, however, explained by WWE’s policy of not mentioning names in the RAW credits, unlike its approach for Friday Night SmackDown and NXT programs.
It’s worth noting that Lee Fitting’s name did appear in the end credits of WWE NXT’s Tuesday broadcast aired on The CW, alongside Paul Levesque and Shawn Michaels. Hence, it is apparent that there has been no internal reshuffling, and WWE has not expunged Lee Fitting’s name from the closing credits of their live television broadcasts.
