It was previously rumored that a #1 contender’s tournament would be taking place last night on WWE RAW, with two Triple Threat bouts to determine a new contender for RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

However, Fightful reports that WWE scrapped those matches from last night’s show at the very last minute in favor of a Women’s Tag Team Title contender match, featuring Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan vs. Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Dakota Kai).

The canceled tournament was originally supposed to feature two Triple Threat bouts – Liv Morgan vs. Dakota Kai vs. Piper Niven, and Candice LeRae vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY.

Rodriguez and Morgan won the #1 contender’s match, and the duo will now challenge Becky Lynch and Lita for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships next week.
