WWE NXT, featured on The CW Network, bears a TV-14 rating, as we have previously stated on eWn, a stark departure from the PG rating it held on the USA Network. An inside scoop from Fightful Select revealed that neither the production team nor talent have been informed of this shift towards a more mature audience presentation. It raised eyebrows among sources, considering NXT’s rating change does not seem mirrored in RAW or SmackDown.
On another note, a more liberal language use might pose repercussions with brand advertisers. During a recent dialogue with HOT 97, WWE superstar Jade Cargill shared her thoughts on the soaring success WWE is currently experiencing.
“I can’t begin to express my excitement, folks. This opens up such a tremendous opportunity for us. I need to emphasize that we are experiencing a boom, our popularity is soaring. Wrestling seems to be in the limelight. I encourage everyone to participate. The attention our product is receiving is splendid. We’re achieving impressive milestones as a brand. Brace yourself as we’re about to tap into an entirely new system that’s bound to skyrocket us. Truth be told, we’re already flying high.”
