Backstage News On Vince McMahon’s Creative Input In WWE

As we previously reported here on eWn, Vince McMahon did not attend the SummerSlam 2023 pay-per-view event due to undergoing major spinal surgery last month.

While this shouldn’t come as a surprise, the WWE Chairman was involved in all of the final booking decisions prior to his surgery. Although Triple H stated during the post-SummerSlam 2023 press conference that McMahon is not involved “day to day,” nor is he “in it all the time,” Fightful Select is reporting that McMahon has the “final say” over all aspects of creative. If Vince didn’t like something, he’d force late changes.

Additionally, several indie talents who were in town for GCW’s event and the WrestleCon convention attended the SummerSlam 2023 pay-per-view event.
