Backstage News On The Changes Made To WrestleMania 39 & WWE RAW
– ADVERTISMENT –

There were some big changes made to both WrestleMania 39 and Monday night’s RAW after WrestleMania.

Fightful Select has confirmed a report from WRKD Wrestling that WWE had plans to have LA Knight work a segment on Night Two with Bobby Lashley. WWE had already transported the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy to SoFi Stadium specifically for an entrance. However, the segment featuring Lashley and Knight ultimately didn’t happen.

Additionally, Shotzi was supposed to use her tank for her entrance, but unfortunately, that didn’t materialize.

WWE had also planned on using the new Latino World Order on RAW featuring Bad Bunny, but that didn’t come to pass either.

WWE also scrapped a backstage segment of Cody Rhodes speaking on the phone.

Internally, the Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. The Street Profits tag team match had been referred to as a title bout.

The reported mini-tournament to determine the #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship was scrapped and switched to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 contender’s match.

The Omos vs. Elias match was added to the show at the last minute.

Although Vince McMahon had made several last-minute changes to RAW, none of the individual changes are being particularly attributed to him.

Nevertheless, the only speculation that Seth Rollins’ RAW segment was altered appears to have not been the case, as sources suggest that the segment was originally scripted that way.
